North Durham is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2001 by Kevan Jones of the Labour Party. ==History== A single-seat constituency of this name has existed since the 1983 general election. An earlier two-seat constituency of the same name was created by the Great Reform Act for the 1832 general election, when the former Durham constituency was split into two northern and southern divisions. Elections were held using the bloc vote system.
